Histochemical studies on Clonorchis sinensis


Abstract
1) The author carried out histochemical studies on Clonorchis sinensis, especially, the distribution of the Vitamin A, B, and C.
2) The G. D. H method, Carr-Price method for Vitamin A. Chevremont et
Combaire method for Vitamin Bs, Giround et Lebraund method, and Klein method for Vitamin C were applied for the histochemical staining in this study.
3) Dark black colored fine granules (Vitamin A) were intensely positive in cytoplasm of the subcuticular tissue cells, in ground substances of the reticular tissue cells, They also were more or less intensely positive in each sucker and uterus.
4) Light red colored fine granules (Vitamin B2) were intensely positive in cytoplasm of the subcuticular tissue cells, reticular tissue cells also, They were more or less intensely positive in cytoplasm of the reproductive organ cells.
5) Black brown colored granules (Vitamin C) are richly found in ground substances of the reticular tissue cells and basement layer of the intestinal wall cells.
